Pompadour from Bolzano/Bozen is renowned for its high-quality infusions, and now, with its South Tyrolean mountain herb infusion, it has created a particularly outstanding product that bears the South Tyrolean seal of quality.
The South Tyrolean seal of quality herbs employed in the new product are organically grown on a plot owned by South Tyrolean farmer Hansjörg Oberdörfer. The climate here, at an altitude of 1100 metres above sea level, provides the ideal conditions for these herbs to develop especially intense aromas. “A sophisticated mix of herbs and flowers likewise ensures that our mountain herb infusion has a well-balanced flavour,” says Hansjörg Oberdörfer.
Pompadour and its employees are proud of supporting local production cycles through their products, of lifting this top quality produce out of its niche and enabling it to attract a broader customer base. “We are especially delighted when guests who have come to South Tyrol on holiday and tried our herbal infusions at their hotel’s breakfast buffet then later become customers of our webshop,” says Pompadour Managing Director, Alexander Schick.
For Pompadour, the South Tyrolean mountain herb infusion is only the beginning of increased involvement with organic production. “At Pompadour as a brand, we are thereby acting on the responsibility we bear, which has evolved over time”, explains Alexander Schick.
In future, the popular brand plans to increase its share of organically grown herbal infusions and to bring all its activities into line with its in-house sustainability strategy. The effects of this will include a production chain that is entirely CO2 neutral from 2030 onwards.
